When I got the GTX it had no dana 60 in it. It had a 74 9 1/4 out of a roadrunner. So I went looking for a dana. The first dana I bought was an e-body one. It does not fit, it's too short. To put the e-body in the car you have to move the spring perches outwards because they're 46 inches On the 71 b=body they're 47.30 So I bought the correct 71 dana. 60 With the measurements I gave you it's correct.
the 8. 3/4 are the same measurements as 9.3/4

Thanks for that. Did you actually install the E body rear? The reason I'm asking is I want to replace the rear in my '72 RR. Someone had installed an 8 1/4" open with 2.45 gear! I think it was standard in 400 2V cars. So, in your opinion, would you install the stock width, or go a little narrower with the E body axle, or narrower still, with the -'70 B body axle?
