Your diagram makes no sense. How is the fan and water pump being driven? The alt. belt should go from the crank over the fan/waterpump pulley to the alt. pulley and back down to the crank. The belt should be on top of the fan pulley not under it!

He says his altinator is being held back by two pulleys, one of them probably go to the pump,i think his diagram was just for what hes talking about in this case...none of us really understand.

Don't take it to the shop unless you have to. I respect your trying to do this on your own.

OK, I was stupid with the diagram - the PS belt goes to the crank AND fan pulley, not just the fan as I show in the diagram. So the belt on the right is more of a triangle.

Still, though, I can't get the rear Alt belt off without yanking either the fan pulley or crank pulley entirely.

Going by the diagram to posted,if you loosen the altinator mount, loosen the power steering, the belts should be big enough to just wrap around the fan.
Yes ,the power steering belt will go over the fan because it is in front of the crank pulley but the alternator one is stuck between the crank and fan pulleys! look closer at the diagram!
The diagram isnt 3d!

And if that was the case, what you say, removing the fan wouldn't make sense.

None of this makes sense.!

I just noticed that the diagram is wrong, the crank is what powers everything,so your water pump and power steering would never turn based on that diagram. The power steering should be on a belt by itself going to the crank, and the alternator and water pump should be together going to the crank.

Allow me to repeat:

I will try to get pics of the pullies. I just f*cked up my upper door panel trying to tighten up my door frame so I had to walk away from the car for a bit. It won't lock, now.

I dont understand how the pulley system can be setup any other way,and if it is,something has to not be working correctly..
