But if you want a DRIVER, doesn't look like too bad of a car in those photos in spite of the glaring errors. My questions would be is it solid, does it run well, and is the price right for what it is?

yes i do have mine the rocker moldings it took 2 years too get them

Wow either thats a bad pic in the satellite brochure or it looks like it has towels sewn into the seats as well. Mine are like the ones in the color samples and they are almost exactly the same as when I bought the car 20 yrs ago. I'm still suprised how well my seats lasted for 16 yrs of storage outdoors.

I know P5 = Premium Grade Cloth & Vinyl Buckets and P6 = Premium Grade
Vinyl Buckets so it seems doubtful that car should have any type of cloth inserts.

Here is a pic of my P5X9 car. I'm still trying to find pics of another GTX with that cloth interior to find out how rare it is on GTXs

{edit} AZ-Nick's GTX is a P6XW. I have seen a few other P6XW online but most I see are P6X9
I have several P5-- cars on record, also P3-- (the cloth bench seat option), mostly GTXs.

The P6--- is the most standard GTX interior, vinyl buckets.
Ok, after checking my database, I have the following cloth interior 71 cars:

71 road runner - P5X9 (2)
71 road runner - P3-- (0) - not available on runners
71 GTX - P5X9 (2)
71 GTX - P3X9 (3)
71 GTX - P3T7 (1)

Is is out of about 400 cars (only rr and GTX), so the percentage is relatively low. Also have several P3F7 SSPs recorded.

For those of you who don't know, I maintain a database of 71-74 Plymouth Bs (two door and four doors), but mainly focus on 71 and 72 cars (no offense 73 and 74 guys, this just happens to be what I've been into for a long time now). At some point it will become an official registry once the area is available on the website (hint Dave). So for those of you that haven't shared info on your car with me, I'd love to get it. Fender tag and broadcast sheet scans/photos are best along with your information. Whatever you're comfortable sharing (note, I do not share any information about VINs or owners, only general information like listed above).

Here's a link to that car. Hopefully the link works for you.

It's actually listed in Hemmings this month for $25K. Seller sounded like he already had a deal in the works for it. He was supposed to call me yesterday if the car was still available, but I haven't heard from him.

I actually just made a deal on a different car... but that will be the subject of another thread. :D

Eric- not being funny or anything. You seem to be a very knowledgeable guy when it comes to these cars.................the whole number games, per year options, etc. Perhaps you should consider taken a spot such as Galen since so many people are dissatiified with him..........including myself.

I think you got my Vin # before i editted my photo in that 1st thread where I introduced myself didnt you Eric? If not I would be glad to give you my full vin #. I wish I could give you a photo copy of my broadcast sheet but I still haven't found it! I still remember pulling it out from under my back seat 18 yrs ago I just hope it turns up someday or there is more then 1 in the car or else I might go crazy!!!!!

I really appreciate the info. Funny thing when I came to this site i found it via bbodyregistry.com I see if you type that in it still points me here. If it had only been Roadrunnernest.com I might have been less likely to find it.

Thanks for the kind words. I wouldn't claim to have nealy as much knowledge as Galen, but what I do know is focused on 71 B bodies (and I'm learning more and more about 72-74). Ask me about E bodies and I'm completely stupid!
Just collecting info and giving out free advice takes up a considerable amount of time. I've been fortunate enough to be involved in advising on a couple of restorations including an almost completed pilot EV2/window louver car and the GTX convertible built last year. Just hope all the help I give out comes back around to me some day.

Cool car, covers are wrong though, if you look closely you can see the the upholster gave them the Cordoba puff pillow look, it looks like they packed it.

Here is another GTX that I parted out, check out the seats in this baby.....

And before anyone asks "Holy Crap, you parted a car with an interior that nice"?
It was a French export car that came back to the USA and meet with its demise, a little bump....So Yes I did part it, here is a sample of why....
