air grabber door

Post by bandman » Tue Jun 19, 2007 5:58 pm

Question for the guys with air grabbers.

Are the pins that go through the air grabber door flush on each side(where the decals are)? Or do they stick out the thickness of the head of the pin. If they are flush I have yet another modification to do.

thanks,

Dennis

Not really even "flush", more like countersunk a bit so the decal can cover the holes.

Talking about these studs in the AG door, is the only thing holding them in place the decal? I havn't placed the new decals on the AG door yet and the studs tend to move out just enough to conflict with the bubble resulting in the door not opening!

Thanks,

The head on the pin is below the the decal surface. The thing that holds it there is a "C" clip on the inside where the pin comes through. The pin has a groove for the "C" clip.

Thanks Road Chicken!

I'll have to check if there's a groove for a c-clip in my pins.
