Is there a difference between a 71 and 72 roadrunner hood
I just want to make sure there are no subtle differences as I know there are some sometimes.
Thanks

Both are the same
Both 71 and 72 had three different hoods that are the same for both years. It starts with a stock Satelitte hood, Mopar added a air grabber to make the second hood, the third is dfferent in that it had " power bulges" or insets on the sides.

Now I thought there was a difference in the hood air intake slots. he 71 had them all together, and the 72 had 2 distinct sets. Could be wrong but I thought I hear or saw that somewhere.
4th generation B bodys- there is no substitute.

Yes, it is true, '71 Charger hoods are different than '72's.
'71 Cowl vent openings ALL the way across the back
'72 Cowl vent openings all the way, but with a small area in the middle left solid
'73 Cowl vent openings on both sides, with a large solid area in the middle
'74 NO cowl vent openings at all.
