TREMEC TKX 5-speed kit for 1971-1974

Has anyone done a Tremec 5-speed conversion with a bench or buddy seat? I'd like to know if it is possible to use the proper mid-length shifter in the factory location.

Probably not too many here have done this that are still active on this page. Facebook or B-Body only would be my best recommendation for an answer. There are just a few of us keeping this page alive.
