Air Grabber hood ??

Post by xray » Mon Aug 28, 2006 12:08 am

I'm in the process of putting my air grabber hood together. The one thing that I have not figured out yet is what to do in the area that the actuator bolts to. I know that on the original ones there is a plate inside the hood bracing. I am trying figure out a way to get a predrilled and tapped plate in there. What did everyone do to accomplish that in their air grabber hoods? Has anyone done a write up on putting together an aftermarket air grabber hood?

If it's cut out like the original hood, you should be able to get a plate in there pretty easily. It wouldn't need to be welded down, only needs to distribute the load across a larger area. Should be able to bolt the actuator down before you install the bubble
