What is exactly the correct battery for 71-72 big block cars......I read that ma-mopar didn't always make their own batteries....so some years you just got whatever brand they were using at that time(is this true).....can you guys clear this up with a picture

O.K. here is a picture of the battery I have....is this the correct look for a 71-72 roadrunner...big-block car.

Has anyone seen an original battery? from this era

I'm not 100%, but i think the mopar lettering on the sides should just be black, but other than that, it looks good...i think they're making most of the newer repros all black, anyway...after that, i think the color of the caps just depended on if it was a 24 or 27 battery, right? So heavier duty cars would be 27, which i think only had red caps, but the 24s could be green or yellow.

Anybody know if that's pretty much the scoop?
