sequence number and build date
Was looking at fender tag on a 71 runner and notice the sequence number 1G----22 and was very close to my 71 gtx 1G----06,my is 16 before this car. What confuse me is the build date on the car was 2 days before my. Doe's anyone know how this can be or has anyone notice on any other cars???

Re: sequence number and build date
Not too surprising, the Scheduled Build Date is not necessarily the actual date the car was built. There was a good thread on moparts a few months ago from someone who worked at the factory back then explaining when the SPD and the VIN numbers were assigned.

Hey Eric,
I would love to read that thread. Would you happen to remember the moparts member, or the title of the post? Thanks!
