Looking for a original replacement for my 72 RR. The picture is the original one that has seen better days. It has the Everhot logo on it. Anyone ever seen one like this would be great. Thanks! Paul

For 72 I think he needs a cable operated one.

Man that first one is darn close except it needs to be cable operated like the one person said. Almost worth getting that one for the one part. Thanks

Re: Water valve showing its age
The one you posted I don't believe is the original one, the ebay link I posted is the original design. They always started leaking between the bakelite halves and got replaced. Yours is the aftermarket replacement

Got to your local big box store and ask to see the 4 Seasons catalog..odds are if not in there by exact application/dimensions...you can quickly find an alternative model...sadly all the parts are not in the computer and the catalog is most resourceful when dealing with heater and AC components..some of the younger counter folks are not familiar with the catalogs...often one has to ask..

Re: Water valve showing its age
I have it back together. I adapted the 71 vacuum operated one to my 72 cable operated one. Trying to keep it the best I can all original. Best thing it holds water and works. Thanks for all the help!http://s817.photobucket.com/user/mopare ... 1.jpg.html

Re: Water valve showing its age
is it just me or do others question the logic of folks so adamant on correct screws and such on the cars and yet....there in plain site are those awful looking worm drive hose clamps..ok..off the soap box and back to work I go..

Re: Water valve showing its age
I know! That is why I don't have any clamps on the valve. I ordered the over priced hose kit to make it all nice.

Re: Water valve showing its age
Gets real busy with the four screw type hose clamps around the water valve. Kinda bummed that I didn't see Moparlar's post first before fixing this one. Basically I fixed the first available replacement. Perfect! Live and learn. This car was a barn find that had been sitting since 1981. Kinda figured it was original. Then again it had the screw type clamps that were install back when. Those spring clamps never did stay long back in the days when these cars came in for maintenance work.
