Hey Mopar friends. Your Friend Ben Here. I am new to this Awesome Site. Lots of good hard to find info here. I have a 1971 E86 GTX and am just starting a restore to driving condition. My question (and there will be many more I am sure) is how do you identify 1971 rally wheels. My car now has Micky Thompsons on it. I have 2 sets of rally wheels but have no idea what they came off of. Also need to verify vin on U code 440 to be correct. It is still in the car. Can you see the numbers with out removing any parts?
...........Thanks Your Friend Ben

My trim tag calls for longitudal stripes. Is that the black pin stripe running the length of the car just above the crease on your car?

According to the 1971 & 1972 Dealer Color Catalogs They call those wheels "Rallye", not "Rally".Probably to be different (marketing)

V7 is the body side pinstripe seen on Gary's car. Three colors were available; V7X - black, V7W-white and V7Y-gold
