Your not going to see much of an improvment with 3.23 over the 2.76.With that 340 in the heavy car your going to need 3.55 or even 3.91, these gears will give you the better launch i think you are looking for!

i got 3:55 and im turing 3,000 rpm at 60mph. anyone know what gears whould be needed to run 70mph at 3,000rpm?

Assuming your speedo is right, and this calculator is right http://www.csgnetwork.com/multirpmcalc.html I get you are running 300O rpm @ 60 mph with rear tires 24.5 inches in diameter. Try it yourself (the last calc on the page). If this is right - and your tires are 24.5, then with 3.23s you would be running 3200 or so at 70mph.
