t-handle question?

Ok I had to take apart my t handle a plastic peice broke so I'm gonna 2 part glue it back together. Ok were the hole for screw is does that pull apart or slide?

the bottom of the T-handle shifter just snaps together, then slide it over the shifter, put in screw. make sure it's the right one though, if it's too long the button will jamb up, won't be able to shift, and your handle will want to come apart

Just toss it and replace it with an Auto-Grip!

I like the t handle shifters why not fix it there 52 to 55 repoduction ones if I can save that money why not

No need to plug yourself quapman, I'll help with that.

I went with the Auto-Grip on my 72 rr GTX and couldnt be happier. The t-handle (original and repros) all feel too cheap for our cars, probably why they always crack near the screw. The Auto-Grip is made very well, and looks awesome. These arent mass produced by the thousands, a lot of time and effort goes into making a quality part. People looking at my interior from the passenger side often think the car is a 4spd since the automatic shift plate isnt visible because of the center console. Also, much better look than the pistol grips made by gunslinger.

Ditto on that one. I bought a new T-handle to replace my lovely electrical-taped OE one that broke in the same spot. Got a replacement from Year One, which was ill fitting from the rip and the thumb button came apart in less than a few months! They sent me a replacement no questions asked, but the overall quality was just disappointing.

And they sell some top notch concours stuff!

Talked to another owner at a car show who just said he found his aftermarket on Ebay. From the sound of it, his was worse than mine and he was barely able to get it on the stalk, let alone function properly.

I debated for a long time on the Auto Grip, I concluded that I liked the T-handle best.

Weird thing is mine isn't cracked by the screw. Were the spring conects inside it broke so I took it all apart and I'm gonna 2 part glue it and see if that works and its oem. Just have to be easy with it I guess
