Tach wiring

Post by rthrbfishn » Sun Oct 11, 2009 12:01 pm

I've changed my rally dash to a tach dash. Does the power supply for the tach come off the instrument panel regulator, or does it get 12v? Which terminal is power supply, and which is negative coil?
Thanks!

the top post gets a full 12 volt, switched power supply, normally taken off the yellow accessory circuit. If you look around under your dash, you should see a yellow connector with 3 holes in it to take the power from. The bottom post (with the spade nutted on) is where you connect your tach lead
