Reproduction Window Stickers
I'd like to purchase a reproduction window sticker for my '71 RR. Have any of you guys used anyone for this, and how would I determine what dealership my car was originally shipped to? Thanks.

I'd like to know as well. I also want to know what dealership sold my car. I do know most of the owners but unfortunately, not where the original owner bought the car, since he was killed in 'Nam.71Runner wrote:I'd like to purchase a reproduction window sticker for my '71 RR. Only way I'm aware is to either:
find original dealer paperwork, the original owner, or be lucky enough that the car was in a state that will allow you to do a title search of former owners....

Good eye fourforty6pac. Who would be able to complete it in the correct type though? There has got to be a vender who can do this if you provide them with a build sheet, copy of fender tag, or other data.

Re: Reproduction Window Stickers
Those old IBM type writers that have all the letters and numbers on that ball thing instead of the individual keys have different fonts.I remember that because my mothers type writer had a few of those ball thing. One of them closely resembled the print on the old paper drivers license (a lot of you younger guys wont remember these). We used to change the dl number and the birth date so we could get into bars. I have been looking at garage sales to see if I can find one.
You could also copy the sticker and info. on a puter and print it out. It would be no problem getting the font close.

I remember the days of the ball typewritter, that funky font would be just about right on. I suppose I could find the font, or something close, I would just need an example of how everything was laid out on the paper in order to duplicate it. There has got to be a place that does this, I've just got to spend a little more time looking.
