Seat Covers, Door Panels, Carpet 71 GTX

Post by bulletpruf » Thu Oct 30, 2008 9:36 am

Fellas -

71 GTX, black bucket interior. I'm looking for seat covers; didn't see them on Legendary's site. Does anyone know of a source for correct ones?

Also need carpet and the full door panel - both have been cut in the bottom for speakers. I know Just Dashes will restore door panels, but they're not cheap and not real fast, either.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Legendary is the place... Don't know why you didn't see the seat covers there, because they DO sell them! I got the black and orange interior for my RR there. They'll have the door panels too, and the carpet as well.

I saw a lot of "Satellite/Road Runner" seat covers, but only a few listed as, "Satellite/Roadrunner/GTX." If the seat covers are the same, then it's a typo, and they've got what I need. If there is a difference, then it does not appear that they have them. Guess I should make a phone call and talk to someone there.

Didn't see carpet in the online listings. Also only saw upper door panels, and that doesn't appear to include what I need. I'll call and straighten it all out.

Thanks,

Scott

I think when it has "Satellite/Road Runner/GTX" In the description, they are interiors that the GTXs had,but can be used with Satellite and Road Runner seats. And the ones that say "Satellite/Road Runner" are the patterns that came in Road Runners that are avalible for Satellites also.

Am i anywheres close Bruce? :D

For bucket seat cars the vinyl is all the same--Satellite, Runner, GTX... for '71 and '72 anyway. I can't profess any expertise on any OTHER year. For carpet and the door panels, if Legendary doesn't have them, contact our own AZNick. I'm sure he can hook you up.

Here's the response from Legendary: "Front covers are $289 and the rear is $215. Carpet for this car is $150. We are having a sale on these items and the last day of the sale is tomorrow. 25% off covers and 10% off the carpet....lead time is about 3 weeks from the date of the order."

Appreciate the input,

It'll be interesting to see whether the lead time they've given you is accurate. I'd bet it's going to be longer than 3 weeks...

I was told 4 weeks to ship on my recent Legendary seat cover order, showed up on my doorstep 2 ½ weeks later. BTW, they do have a different catalog numbers for the 72’s vs. 71’ bucket seat covers, look the same to me but may have subtle changes in material grains or some such. Have yet to install, appears to be very nice workmanship.

Placed the order with Legendary. 3-4 weeks is what they said.

They didn't have seat foam; does anyone know who makes correct seat foam for a '71 bucket?

Thanks,

Scott
