Headlight Replacement for '71 B-Body.
I need to replace my headlights with a better performing set. What can you guys recommend as replacements for my '71 Roadrunner? I do not want to have to rewire. Thanks very much.

Short of rewiring the headlamp circuit you will be limited to 5 3/4†“halogen†sealed beams. Better than standard sealed beams that came with these cars but not what we are currently accustomed to on today’s vehicles. I recall when tring to find them at my local auto parts store in the 5 3/4†size, high(H5001) and low beam(H5006), turned out to be a bit of a problem. You may have to buy them online.

Thanks for the part numbers 72RoadRunnerGTX, I'll start looking. BTW, since my car is not here, do you recall which light is a 2 prong, and which is 3? Thanks again.

The low beam (H5006) has two filaments within it (3 prongs). H5001 is a single filament high beam only (2 prong).
