71/72 front bumper rubber

Had this discussion going on over at Moparts. Can you guys give me more insight??

"I've searched every Roadrunner picture thread I can find, and I have a question. I didn't see any with that rubber strip thats mounted on the front bumper. Whats the deal with that rubber strip???? " How rare is that??

the rubber strip on the front bumper is not rare on 71-72

on the back yes on a71. eric 71 rr 4406bbl car has front one and the backone

If you look at Eric's (one of our site admin) RR has the rubber strip on the bumper. Here's another of his car
