Well, as long as we're talking gauges, here's an idea I've been bandying about in the ol' melon. When I finally get around to my resto(mod), I think my instruments might go this way. I'm going to paint each and every digit, indicator line, and needle with florescent paint. Haven't picked a color yet. I can hide a small blacklight where the map light is now. I haven't seen it done, but I'm sure someone's done it before. I guess it'll be sort of a 'TRON" effect, but I think it'd look cool.

I think more people should start putting alot more of themselves into their cars.I mean when the cars completly stock and original, your still driving someones idea, why dont make it more of yours.

My cars gonna have alot of stuff where people will be"Oh he did that, wow, didnt notice that"for instance my blinkers are gonna be put into the metal on the side of the fender so its gonna be a flush flat surface, its a small almost unnecessary thing but it makes a big difference to me.

make sure to make a post on your gauges if you pull it off

Thanks man, I really appreciate that. And I agree with you about people personalizing their rides and putting "yourself" into it. Anyway, what do I really have to lose? My car will never be worth big bucks (not for a long time anyway) so why not have some fun with it?

Like using garage sale signs for sheet metal patches. . . . or a stack of washers for an alternator spacer. . . its always fun. . .

I do agree with personalization. It's what we did back in the day. We bought the car as it came from factory, then put on the Cragars, updated the sound system, updated the power train, and so on.

The more I work on my project, the less concerned I am about factory.
