71 - 72 rear bumper interchange?

A friend of mine has offered to give me a new rechromed 72 rear bumper to go on my 71, which I like the 72 bumpers better anyway.
Are these bumpers completely interchangeable?

As far as attachment, yes....as far as look, no. Obviously there is a difference in taillights and the 72's also use a different jack attachment

Oh , I understand the whole tailight thing. What I was wondering was how does it mate up with the rear valance and does it fit the qtrs exactly. I know the whole taillight lens setup is different, he gave me the whole shooting match. Just unbolt my old 71 bumper and bolt this new 72 up and plug it up.

yeah interchangeable is mostly the concept of the part fitting,not looks.
is there that much of a difference between 71-72 rear

yes it will fit 72 bumper on a 71 but the
rear valance is not the same you need one from a 72

I agree. I forgot about the valence being different. The quarters are the same from 71-72 though. Only difference should be the valence.
