Isnt that the switch itself?
Do they have a switch,or lever?

That's the solinoid, it's mounted by the switch. It closes the air grabber door when the engine is shut off if the switch is left in the open position.

The correct solenoid specific to our cars (#3586056) would have a bullet type connector on its lead. Easy enough to change out however.

is a vacuum switch 12vdc.
normally open it blows through.
when voltage positve is placed across it closes completing the vacuum circuit.
to connect it the posts go between the positive only in a normally open position.
it needs the activation switch to operate.
and it is magnetically operated like a fuel injector

Insted of using nos where the plastic is old and cracked get brand new ones.
