the picture you are asking about
is a vacuum switch 12vdc.
normally open it blows through.
when voltage positve is placed across it closes completing the vacuum circuit.
to connect it the posts go between the positive only in a normally open position.
it needs the activation switch to operate.
and it is magnetically operated like a fuel injector

here is a place to get them new
Insted of using nos where the plastic is old and cracked get brand new ones.
