I'm thinking of restoring my heater box myself on my '71. Has anyone done this? My car has A/C (although everything under the hood is gone). There is a gasket kit finally for our cars with A/C from Jim Fillmore A.K.A Loretta Fillmore on ebay. Jim made the turn signals, tailights and front turnsignal gaskets. I sent him the front turn signals and side markers to make them. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone done this and if any advice/opinions on it. I will be putting a new heater core etc in
Just trying to save some coin since a lot of places wants $700-$1000 to restore it.

I have not done it, but could it hurt? Just be patient and remember how it came apart. I think you could do it yourself. Just remember if you break the plastic, 2 part epoxy works miracles.

Does any one know of a step by step article on how to restore
the heater box? Doesn"t have to be MOPAR. Just a good article on
whats involved and how to make everything look new. The car I am
restoring is a 71 GTX curious yellow,(my favorite color).
Thanx,
Larry
