painting my bird

Post by ct71rr » Sun Mar 26, 2006 9:53 pm

Hello all,

It's my understanding that painting metallics is very difficult for a novice painter. As my bird was originally gold leaf metallic (GY8), should I just use a different color. I was thinking maybe sassy-grass green. If I do use GY8, should I use base coat/clear coat or single stage?? :help:

thanks, ct71rr

You will never learn if you don't try! base coat clear coat gives great depth to the paint.
