71 GTX/RR/Satellite tail light gaskets! Repops!

Post by 1971SSP » Thu Mar 23, 2006 11:00 pm

Has anyone else here tried to cut your own 71 tail light gaskets? Its never a nice fit. I was searching eBay about a week ago, and came across this auction....bought it right on the spot. Reproductions of the gaskets, laser cut using the original type and thickness. Here is the auction, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 4623283704

Look up 1971 gtx gaskets, and a new auction should be up. At $15 a set, its a great price and saves you time & money in the long run....plus you get a perfect fit! I wanted to spread the word on a good deal.

I bought these as well. In fact, he didn't have the side marker and front parking light gaskets either until I sent him some housings and he made them. Now you can buy them and at a GOOD price! This person goes by the name lorrettafillmore (sorry if the spelling is off) on ebay. Grreat people to deal with!

I did not notice the marker & parking light gaskets until it was too late. Going to order those to. Appreciate you sending those housings, its so nice actually buying new stuff for the car. Plus getting the correct fit is great! The person selling these lives very close to me, even closer to my mom. I had them delivered to my moms, and he brought them over in person. Even if you don't need a set now, I would encouage everyone to think ahead, and maybe pick up a set....at $15, you can't go wrong. The other gaskets are priced right too!

not 100% sure, but the seller is from Grosse Pointe Farms, MI....so Vegas odds say yes! If you do a search of his ID, and you can see he is doing e-body gaskets too. I'm surprised it took this long for some one to jump on this.

Gaskets

Post by rr6pak » Wed Mar 29, 2006 5:16 am

Yes the guy is from Mi. His web address is www.71TA.com His name is Jim. I talked to him a couple of weeks ago about the front parking lights and side markers for my '71 RR. He was cool, said if I would send him my housing, he'd make them. So, I sent them and viola! He has alot of other stuff for sale and REASONABLE. I told him I'd spread the word so I am. He uses CAD to make the gaskets and they are of the same material and quality.

So, to JIM!

I PM'd him over on moparts, and he offers a 10% discount to moparts members!
