If you need a set of rear frame rails I have a set from a 72 B body already removed. I'll give them to you if you need them. I'm not to far from KC, depending what part your in. Little south and east.

Mike
Thanks Mike. I also have a set of rear frame rails, but I don't expect I will need them. Its the front frame rails I need, and this donor car will be giving them up!

Well, my donor car arrived yesterday from eastern SD and its a very rusty one! But its not the sheet metal that I am after. Its all the nuts and bolts and interior parts that I need to resurrect the Hemi Orange car. This donor car has a clean uncut rallye guage cluster, front frame rails, suspension parts with disc brakes, most of the side bodyline trim, and many other items that would be crazy expensive to hunt down individually. It is tucked away in the car corral now along with the covered wreck and my other 71 sunroof car.

Crazy coincidence - Doug - the guy that helped me liberate the car from the ravine just happened to run into the original owner of the car! John C. out of Nebraska was visiting with Doug and started talking about a car that he sold to someone locally - and how the guy crashed it not long after he bought it. It was a 72 Plymouth, orange with white top, and was loaded with options. Doug knew that he must be talking about this car! He grabbed his number and passed it on to me. When I called John, he was extremely happy that someone had rescued the car. He said he bought it brand new in Las Vegas. It was a special order car (obviously) and that the person that ordered it never came to pay for it. He described the car and told me some great things that I am glad to know - stuff that the fender tag would never reveal. Like it came with Rallye wheels, a 3.23 Sure-grip, the dealer installed microphone, and when he bought it brand new at Sandkrug in Las Vegas, it only had 7 miles on it. I told him that if he was ever up my way, to call and swing by to see the old girl again.

Great score Scott!
Way back when I bought mine they were $700 each, so you made out like a bandit.

The big sale was about a month ago. Couldn't pass that up for those prices!

Even though I won't get started on this car for several years, I did want to try and straighten out the roof line a bit so the rain and snow would not sit in the sunken areas of the car cover. So with a few new tools and a little bit of mild weather, I drug my floor jack out to the car corral and got to work. Pleased with the results - and additionally, the car corral got a nice floor upgrade to gravel. No more mud when it rains and snows!

Interesting development this week - look what surfaced about 10 miles north of where the car met its demise. The original doors, complete with the driver door VIN sticker to prove that they came from this car. They are pretty rough, but no major creases - so I think they are good to go to bolt back on the ole car after a bit of body work.
