first off welcome! The 5.7 and the 6.1 hemi have a lot of support for them now, the 727 bellhousing even bolts up to it without any problem, just the top hole isn't used. It your looking at doing this conversion you need the wiring harness and ecu from the vehicle, try to get one that used a key ignition, not a fob, it will make your life simpler. Cost effective? You can buy most front moog suspension parts from NAPA, for the bushings you can buy full kits from PST or Firm feel.

Thank you. So I dont need to get a full front suspension kit? I just need to buy the parts from Napa? Also another question. Are there any newer car seats that bolt right in? I come from the darkside (Mustang knowledge) and know in those cars all the way up to 93 seats basically bolt right to the old seat frames. O and another thing about the motor. Are there any special years that are better to find in regards to the hemi 5.7 or 6.1?

If your going the cheap route no need to buy a big kit from one of the suppliers. Any new seat is going to take some modification of the seat brackets, I haven't seen any that someone said they bolted straight in. If memory serves me the earlier years (2004?) But the more important part is getting the harness and ecu with the correct key fobs, (if it was just a key ignition car your fine) unless you go aftermarket then sky's the limit (ex megasquirt)

It seems that when I look at the Napa site its just as much to buy all that stuff separate (I have no and I mean no front suspension) as it would to buy a kit. Any suggestions on how to rig my car to roll around without the suspension?

I was thinking of a 2x4 cut in half with large casters on it and lag bolts through the inside

Can make some body dollies and bolt them to the front bumper brackets and the rear spring perch. The dollies worked for me on my B :D

You can buy them made, I think UScartool.com has them. I made mine out of 4X4 square metal. Measured how long, measured the front bumper bracket bolt holes, drilled for the bolt holes. Welded a square to the end of the 4X4 and mounted casters for them. Casters ran me $47.00. The square metal was basically free, for a case of beer. My friend's brother-in-law drills for oil and had all kinds of different size metal to have. All in all, it was cheaper than buying a set from a company.

Again, made mine to bolt to the front bumper brackets and the rear was bolted to the front wheel well area, where the front of your springs would mount. I used the hardware from both of these areas to mount the dollies to.

Neither do I. Plus I haven't welded in a long time. You can ask around for a welder or see if someone will for a small fee if you bring the parts to them to be welded or buy a set. Just putting out some ideas for you. Good luck.

Here's a photo of my Runner with the US Car Tool body wheels on it when it came back from getting the engine compartment painted. They are EXTREMELY handy when moving the car around with no engine/trans/front suspension.

Here's a link to their store. $250 will hook you up. http://store.uscartool.com/mopar-ABE-bo ... heels.html
