I really appreciate the compliments Suregrip! I just stay busy with it. Up to 16 hours a day and 7 days a week at times. I've done 5 cars and 1 truck in less than 2 years solo, not counting the cars that I just buy and flip. I could have gotten another car done this year but we had to pack up and move everything from Mississippi to Texas. Takes a while to get everything set back up and all.

The speed of the build really has everything to do with the car you are working on. It pays to be picky. Replacing rusty panels is not only expensive but very time consuming and to be honest, it doesn't add anything to the value of the car. So again, it pays off to wait and buy solid projects. And if that means buying a Satellite instead of a Road Runner... So be it.

Anyway, thanks for the kudos. I'm working hard. I hope it turns out nice. There's still a chunk of work to do to this one but I'm hoping she'll be done before the year ends. *fingers crossed

Installed a new windshield and re-installed the back glass since I am now done with the headliner.

It took a couple days but I finished the seats. What a pain in the HAND.

Finished the interior yesterday. Took a bit longer to get it done than expected due to severely cutting my left index finger while doing some work around the house. But it's all in and done now and the finger is healed up. I think the car turned out pretty good. Smells like new now. I'm very happy with the results.





So last thing to do is swap the 318/904 out and slap in the new 440/727 and finish doing a bit of detailing under the hood. Later on down the road when I can find the right one, I am going to swap out the rear end for a 8 3/4" Sure Grip and I'm going to do rear disc brakes at that time as well. I'm just going to cruise anyway so I'm not worried about it.



Not too bad considering 8 months ago it had been locked up and forgotten about for 20 years or more.

Sure, it's not "correct" but I love this car. I really do.

Magnes, your car is beautiful I had to do much of the same work on mine as you since it sat for 15 years. I have been thinking about a similar wheel (Torq Thrust M instead of IIs) and tire combo as you. What BFG's are those, they look great!

Alright, well here is a funny little update on this car...

For Christmas, my wife and I went to Las Vegas. The day after Christmas, I was in the Aria where we were staying and I sat down at a slot machine and started playing with a couple hundred bucks. I lost down to $11.80 and then I hit that machines biggest jackpot.



Well that was all fine and dandy, over $16,000 and I'm feeling pretty good. The next day we went to check out the cars and stuff at Count's Kustoms (from the TV show "Counting Cars") and afterwards we decided to go over to old Las Vegas and start playing at Binion's. I sit at the same type of machine and about $40 into it, the thing goes off and I win the 2nd biggest jackpot for that machine and all the ones hooked to it.



Another $2100!

Well shoot, I'm feeling pretty good so I go find the wife and tell her about my last win, she's playing some weird Willy Wonka game so I sit at the Willy Wonka game next to her and put in $20. About my 3rd or 4th tap of the button, the thing goes crazy, theres little oompa loompas doing weird stuff and this happens...



Another $2000!

I quit gambling and after everything was said and done, I left Vegas with $20,000 cash in my pockets. Sure I will have to pay taxes out of that but the coolest thing is:

It completely paid for every penny that I put into this car. The whole thing. And that's how I'm looking at it... like I just got my damn dream car for free.

I couldn't be any happier. It was a great Christmas. I got the best present any Mopar guy could ask for. And I'm probably one of the very few people who have left Las Vegas with a smile on their face.
