What would you do?

Hello Everyone,
I have the original rear bumper guards and bumper which needs to be re-chromed. I also have a nice rear chrome bumper delete the bumper guards holes. Should I put the bumper guards bumper which needs re-chroming on my car or the non-bumper guard bumper that does not need re-chroming?
Thanks,
wejewill

Well since you asked...I assume most people would run sans rubber bumper guards but I like them mostly for that reason. Plus, they serve a practical purpose. I would run the nice chrome one for now while you send in the other for rechroming. I assume the rubber bumpers and mounting studs are OK? I don't think those rubber bumper guards are being reproduced yet so keep that in mind before forking out the dough to repair the bumpers with the holes. Does your front bumper have to the horizontal rubber bumper guard? I just had the process done on my 71 bumpers and it took about 6-8 weeks if I remember correctly. For what it's worth, I sent my stuff to Ogden Chrome in Utah. The repaired the dings and creases and the chrome is beautiful. Very easy to work with, they even set up the FedEx pickup.

Ditto, run the nice one now. Send the bumper guard one in for rechroming. When it comes back, sell the other one to offset the cost of redoing the bumper guard one.

Those rear bumpers guards are one year specific yes or no? I do not have the front bumper guard. What about drilling holes in the good chrome one and using it?
