Painting my 72 rr. Can't find the code

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME I'VE BEEN LOOKING TO PAINT MY ROAD RUNNER NOW FOR ABOUT ONE MONTH AND I CAN'T FIND THE GY8 (GOLDLEAF YELLOW)
I'VE BEEN TO OVER THREE PAINT SHOPS AND NOBODY CAN FIND THAT CODE !!! "THEY TRY TO GIVE ME CODES FOR EITHER MERCEDES OR LEXUS OR ANY OTHER CAR, BUT NOT THE ROAD RUNNER!
IS THERE A CODE FOR A NEW PAINT THAT I MIGHT USE TO MATCH THAT GOLDLEAF YELLOW

ALSO WHAT TYPE OF PAINT SHOULD I USE I'VE HEARD BASECOAT CLEARCOAT IS GOOD BUT THEN I HEARD ACRYLIC IS BETTER

On metallic, base coat, clear coat is good. On solid colors single stage has a better look if cut and buffed properly.

Y8 is showing PPG# 2307. You can see the paint chips for your year and make...

Its just a matter of finding a paint shop that has the color codes for Chrysler vehicles. Do some calling around to see if anyone has the paint book for Chrysler colors. We have a local chain here called Sturdevants, and they had the book - and whipped up a rattle can for me to test the color. Here are the charts for 1971-72 Plymouth colors. I don't know if showing these pages to them will help or not, but it is worth a try. Good luck! Scott.
