My new ride...

Post by bruce » Sat Jan 19, 2013 9:22 pm

Just picked up this 2013 Challenger R/T. Pretty basic car, has only the Boston Acoustic Sound System, Nav and the chrome wheels for options. 5.7 with a 6-speed of course! I'm loving it!

Yeah, I bought the SE in June... but I kept kicking myself for not holding out for an R/T. Didn't really mean for this to happen, I just "happened" to go by the dealership where I had bought the SE and this one was sitting there, pretty much EXACTLY how I'd order one up--Hemi, 6 speed, chrome wheels and few options.

The lesson learned here boys and girls is DO NOT SETTLE! :D

Oh, and it hadn't even officially hit the lot. They hadn't detailed it yet and hadn't even put the sticker in the window. I kept every single bit of documentation it came with... sweet!

Honestly not sure. Probably just going to ride a while and let it sink in... and keep contemplating what if anything I want to do. :D

I've seen some Dodge ads where they seem to say that the Challenger is the lowest priced V-8 muscle car!

I remember when the new Challenger came out a lot of grumbling about her being "too expensive" and
"mustang is cheaper". So Bruce, what is the sticker price on yours, and is mustang still cheaper? :D

A great choice!

Sticker on mine was $34,600. There were $2k in incentives, which included $1k in V8 incentive. What the heck? They sure didn't need to an incentive to get me to buy the V8. :D

Of course, trading the SE and haggling for what seemed like forever reduced the end price some...

Great to hear about the incentives.

I think you need a bumper sticker "Dodge paid me $1000 to take home a HEMI"

We've now got another reason to buy a Challenger.
