Figured I would do a quick update - house is coming along nicely and hope to be in sometime in February. The sunroof car will have to wait patiently at my grandpa's a little while longer until I can get my car corral built.

Nice project car. I know of a 72 Charger sunroof car in a yard in Morgan Hill,CA (south of San Jose). Its a red, U code SE, black
top. Its in the same shape as the one you have. The yard will sell the complete car. The amazing thing is the yard owner still has the original 440 block but will not sell it! There are no sunroof parts. Too bad, it would be a nice car/or clone when completed.

Very neat - If you are ever strolling through that yard again - could you snap a picture or two of the car, VIN, and fender tag if it exists. I would love to add it to the Mopar Sunroof Registry. Thanks!

Unfortunately I no longer live in CA. I moved to a small town south of Houston, TX. (League City). I'll contact a good friend that lives close to the yard and have him send some pics. The vin plate is/was intact but unsure if the fender tag in still there. Its been 15 months since I left CA. I'll post the pics if he will send them. I
seriously considered getting the sunroof and put in on a 73 Rally Charger I have, but the Charger is too nice to cut it up. Its a red 440 rally car, that's about as good as it gets for 1973. The only changes I made was adding a 6 pack and a ramcharger hood. I still have the original hood so I can always return it to original. It'll be a nice road car when finished.

Just got this build thread out of Photobucket purgatory. Here are a couple of pics from last summer - still hoping to get my car corral built this summer so I can start tearing stuff down and inventorying parts.

Car corral has been built, and I will be fetching this car this summer. It will be nice to have all my babies in one place!

Very cool! I have found very little info on the dealership that was there. I think I found an old address, but that is about it.
Scott.

Thanks 73X. The color combo is outstanding. I only wish it was a factory big block car, but it will be a nice economical cruiser with the 318 I have acquired for it.

Took advantage of AMD's blowout sheet metal sale and scored these two quarter skins for only $87 a piece!! Still a few years out on starting this car, but could not pass up on the deal. The driver's side piece was slightly damaged, but in a spot that I won't need - and it was the very last one they had. Score!
