Welcome to the nest! Sounds like a very cool car. Two points on putting the vinyl back on. If you plan on enjoying the car for many years and don't care about resale, then make it like you want it. On the other hand, since you have a numbers matching car, putting it back to original will likely maximize its value if you needed to sell it. Ultimately it is up to you. Try and check out several pics of Roadrunners with and without the vinyl and see what you like best. As for the wrong broadcast sheet, that sort of thing happened quite often on the factory line. Keep it and post it to this site and other sites. If the car still exists, the owner would be very greatful to get his original broadcast sheet back. The 1970 Hamtramck Registry website has a large section on found broadcast sheets. Good luck with your resto! Scott.

Here is something to remember. The stainless trim around the windows and the drip rail on a vinyl roof car is bigger than a non vinyl car.If it was not changed when the vinyl was taken off, and you do not put vinyl back on it will be loose.Tap on the drip rail trim and see if its loose. If not and you put vinyl back on it may not fit, same goes for if it is loose and you don't put the vinyl on, it will be loose.

I love the half-vinyl roofs with the strobe stripe, looks awesome. I'd put it back on. 2 cents.

I have a vinyl roof on my car as well. Well, at least it came from the factory but its in the body shop. My problem is trying to find the clips that hold the trim on the vinyl cause I need new ones.
