Wife's new ride

Post by bruce » Wed Jun 27, 2012 9:14 am

My wife was starting to fret over her old Jeep Liberty and all the issues it was starting to have so she drug us to the local stealership and plunked down her hard earned on this 2011 Charger with 21,000 miles...

Really nice ride, and what a world of difference in refinement between it and the Jeep. Interior is much nicer than the previous version Charger rental cars I had driven in the past. I might make a Mopar chick out of her yet! :D

Great choice, Bruce.
And the Charger is nice too!
Looks great in black.
We're conducting our own Charger experiment.
Bought an '09 police package back in April.
Passing power is what you might call adequate!!!! :D

Thanks! Yeah, this is just the Base model with the V6, but I was pleasantly surprised with it's pep... the auto stick feature is cool too. Dang it handles nice with really firm feedback in the wheel, quiet and smooth. We're happy! Now let's see what kind of mpg she can get with it. Gotta be able to beat the old Liberty.

Like yours I'm sure, this does have the added entertainment value of freaking people out on the interstate when they think the po-po is coming up behind them. :D

I second what Ben said and I still think they should have made the chargers 2 door and named the 4 door something else. After all a new charger as a station wagon would basically be a magnum. All that black is intimidating!

Agree on the much better interior, and tailamps on the new one.
Supposedly one of the must dos on Sergios' list was to improve all the interiors.

If you look at an '06-'10 Charger at the right angle you can see the four round tailamps "hidden" in the somewhat bland housing, supposed to remind us of the 1968 Charger. I never noticed this 'till we bought ours. :o

And it can get 26mpg highway!

Yep, the Charger made the trip... over 33 mpg on the road too! I was hoping to take THIS to Carlisle, but the Charger won out... Bigger and better for the family road trip. :D

You will love that new Challenger Bruce. After more than 3 years, my Challenger is still the most fun vehicle I have in the garage...

Thanks Eric! This one is begging for some '70 style side stripes, a deck spoiler and some Classic-style chrome TTs... other than that, I'm leaving it alone, I swear! :D
