Post by magnum » Sat Apr 14, 2012 9:08 pm

Hello Im new to this site and finally landed a RR! Its a 73, FE5, E68 auto on colom. Ive never seen this before but it has a rubber floor mat instead of carpet, has any one else seen one with this option? The interior is mint, no air with music master am radio, rallye dash and bench seat. It is a numbers matching car. Ill post pics soon! Thanks,Rich!

Welcome to the nest! I've seen base Sattelites with rubber mats, but never a Road Runner.
I hope you've got a broadcast sheet. Sounds like a very unique car.

Thanks! I haven't looked yet but as clean and untouched as it is im sure its there. I broke down the vin and fender tag and it does have some cool options. I noticed the 73 wasnt offered in FE5? Late build maybe? Ill have to check that. It seems it was built just to race lol!

Welcome to the Nest! Are the quarter windows fixed or operable? I don't know 73s as well, but on earlier cars, fixed quarter windows and rubber mats went together.
We love to see pics

I thought all 73-74 RR's were RM21 cars (coupes not hardtops).
Though I've heard if you ordered power windows that the back windows were power windows and operable.
Still coded as RM21 though.

FE5 Red was an option on 1973 Plymouths

Thanks for all the welcomes! Fe5 was an option in 73, some reason on the RR site i visited it never listed that color as an option. Sorry i haven't posted pics but i will tomorrow!! It was an early build date of 5/73 and numbers on motor match! Has a canadian sticker on door jamb next to build date so I'm assuming it was.built in canada.
