A few of U know me personally, others just by my occ post. Mom has battled cancer for over 4 yrs. She will be 83 in Aug God willing. She no longer can tolerate Chemo since June 2011. Palliative care is in 2 words is "comfort care"
the letter below is from my co worker/friend/and mom's Palliative Dr. Michal Harrington. Please vote and help us improve the quality of care. Mom may never actually live to see any programs develop from this but I am sure most of us have all been "Touched by Cancer"
"Dear Friends,
The Palliative Care Division at MetroHealth is trying to receive LIVESTRONG community impact funding to establish a Certification for Advanced Palliative Care Program. You can support this effort by making the effort to vote.
But there's no guarantee that MetroHealth Medical Center will get the most votes, so make sure you spread the word. Tell your friends and family to vote today by forwarding the email at the bottom or by directing them here:

Thanks again,"
