A friend of mine was going through some old papers belonging to his late father in law, and came across these old pix. Evidently, his father in law bought this car probably new and wrecked it in short order. I do know that he bought a 72 RR 400 new after that and drove in to at least the late seventies. Sure wish I could reminisce about these cars with him since I have a 71 383 RR and a 72 400 RR. Hope to find out more info. I know the 72 was bought new in Copperhill, Tennessee. The 71 was probably bought there as well.

Wow that is one horribly cool picture!
These car were used and abused back in the day.
Seems all the hi-impact colors were used up first!

There is not one straight panel left on that car ... what did he do to it?????

I only know the obvious that he rolled it. He injured his back pretty bad from what I'm told, but recovered. This was a beautiful car though. I cant tell if it has chin spoilers in the pic. I'll probably ask his brother about this car, and the 72. Just curious about them. His brother has a shop. Been meaning to drop by to see his cool cars for a long time. No RRs though :(

My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.
