I want to just say hey to everyone here. After looking over this site I had to join. I am in the process of restoring a 72 Runner, that in its current state looks like it fell into one of Wilees booby traps. Its a Basin Blue, rust and primer 340 4 speed that I found and rescued from a Louisiana creek bottom. It now nests' in my shop with a glimmer of hope. The previous owner had modified and put Olds Cutlass rims on it

God knows why... I did at least give the Bird some dignity with a set of crusty Cragars I found. I hope to have some pics up of it up soon in its current condtion and of progress made. Looking foward to enjoying this site and passing info back and fourth between everyone here.

Here are a few pics in its current state of deconstruction as you can see I have a long road ahead of me. The build date on the car is 9-71. Any help deciphering the tag will help. The 340 and 4 speed were robbed

and replaced with an early 80's 318 and 904 lock up.

I do howerever have a 440 I plan on sliding under the hood. Thinking about a 5 speed too, any opinions there?[IMG
