I'm taking a survey

Post by 71bird » Sun Feb 05, 2012 12:12 am

Here's what i have. The original owner blew up the motor when the car was new,and the dealership replaced it under warrranty but the also damaged the header panel. They fixed and painted it, but left off the Plymouth sticker that goes around the plymouth emblem in the center. And that is the way it has been ever sense. So let me know you all think about putting one back on it.I thought because the dealer did it i might just leave it off. It's kinda like my trunk lid inner structure, something heavy and square fell on it at the factory, bending it inward, but they used it to build my lid with anyway,so we didn't fix it.
Just wondering what other people thought.

I'd put the header panel decal on....that's the way it left the factory. Dealers mess up all sorts of things during service that I wouldn't want to replicate.

If it was supeceded by a dealer installed option, that would be one thing. That isn't the case, so returning it To factory correct would be my vote too.

I like these cars the way Chrysler built them, not the way "Bill's Garage", or the way a dealership builds them.

Put the decal on like it came from the factory.

That decal reminds me of a guy that was selling a blue 71 satellite, he claimed that it was the original paint on the car, there was a round bulge around the header panel emblem, They had painted over the header decal. I said to the guy yea right! and walked away.
