Hi guys

Great to see such a forum/community up on the net that is dedicated to our 4th gen RR's! I have a 72 matching numbers RR (400 block) and live way out in New Zealand! Slowly getting all the panels in off ebay to NZ and sending it to the panelbeaters soon.

Here is a link of a 72 roadrunner built in New Zealand. He spent a lot of cash on it and is a very inspiring read. 10L v8

Enjoy!

Ash, welcome to the NEST! Good luck with your car build. The yellow 72 Hemi in the link is absolutely gorgeous! Tell us more.

Hi, how different were the cars made down there from the ones that were made here?

Welcome to the nest! I thought building one here was tough enough. Doing it in NZ ....whew, that's a level of the dedication I'd like to think I have. Good luck and keep us up on the progress. We're herefor all sorts of support !

CtownRunner- It is just the epitome of perfection. Absolutely flawless, I met the owner and saw it up close. I was just left speechless. Pulls over 1000HP and is completely road legal (the laws here in NZ with high performance cars are very restrictive). He has clocked up a fair few k's as it is his daily driver. He must have poured a lot money into it considering the conversion rate from NZD to USD SUCKS!! It maintains the classic feel but has modern flairs embedded here and there. I must say it drives like a dream and I found myself in the boot when he floored it!!!

road chicken - Thanks very much :) I'm a uni student 400kms away from home which makes things much much harder (paying for rent etc) and work on a dairy farm when I go back home for the holidays! It's slow at the mo but I guess having a passion for things makes one very resilient haha.

1972RM23 - WOOHOO I think I'll fit right at home :)

Oh and I know they made 906 4spd 400 blocks in 1972. But does anyone have the options list that people could choose back then? I want to find out how many of my configurations were made. Cheers.
