Thanks guys!

My dream Roadrunner? One of the elusive Six-pack cars... ;)

1972 Roadrunner 340 auto, standard hood, buckets/console, power windows, AC, half vinyl with strobe stripe and of course, the exhaust tips!

- Tawny Gold on tan, brown or black. Black or gold stripe.
- Red on white. White stripe and vinyl
- Yellow on black. Black stripe and vinyl.

There was a Tawny Gold one with 340 auto and pw and AC on Ebay approx. 2(?) years ago. It was a rough running car and it went for $3000-3500. Any of you guys own that car, or know about it? Would love to find that one again, or something similar.

Welcome to the Nest.
1972 RR's were my dream car too and I eventually got mine.
I was looking for a EV2 Hemi-Orange, N96 Air Grabber, big block car and found mine with canopy vinyl, strobe stripe, rallye rims, tach but it has bench seat column automatic (would rather have console buckets and four speed ).
Well you can't have everything but it's close.
My DREAM would be a 1972 RR/GTX 440 4 speed.
Keep looking you will find something.

Hi Dallas, welcome!! I really enjoy this site and I'm sure that you will also. My dream RR is an orange '72. Black vinyl top with the black/ orange buckets and console. Air. 440. 4 speed. Rallye cluster. Rear wing and boomerangs. Magnums. Window louver. A much better sound system. My car that is in the process of becoming my dream car is a EV2 with air, bench seat, vinyl top, 318 Satellite that I rescued from myself shortly before I cut up and parted it out to fix a 72 RR that I also owned but was beyond my experience at the time. So I sold that lemon twist 4 spd bench seat car and kept the Satty as the body was much nicer than the true RR and AMD was not making the parts that they are now. In hindsight, I should've kept them both!!!- and done the yellow car up correctly. But since I am cloning my dream car, I don't feel the urge to keep it as original as I would have if it were a true RR. For instance, my Rallye cluster doesn't have a tach and I will probably put a hood tach on it but I will definitely paint it body color and rotate rims between Magnum's and Cragar's every now and then to change the looks and stance of it. Hopefully one day put in a 5-speed. Also, to me, hemi orange is a little milky and hugger orange just doesn't feel right (aint gonna happen) so I'm painting it Kubota orange, which according to PPG,is a Chrysler color but is richer than Hemi Orange. Again this is my personal opinion and my dream Road Runner... Good luck with your dream car and don't be a stranger. There are lots of useful posts about most every aspect of these beautiful cars and friendly people who are willing to share their knowledge and experience. Good luck, Horace in Whiteville NC
