Scott - my light bulb sockets are not in too bad a shape. I did squeeze the o.d. slightly so the bulbs are quite a snug fit.
Here are the part numbers for the bulbs.
I did get them from Amazon.
For the red LED's

and for the back-up bulb.....

My plan is to finish the car this year...I really didn't want another 10 year project like my previous F-body Road runner, but it looks like that's what this one will be too...

Those LED bulbs look pretty cool! Detroit Muscle makes great stuff. I ordered my rear gaskets from them many years ago, a perfect fit!

Many Thanks guys.....so far it's been somewhat smooth sailing.
So this past weekend I came to the realization that the rear end housing in my car is not a B-body housing but a C-body housing - probably out of a Fury.
I know this now because I had bought the stainless pre-bent brake lines that go along the housing from the distribution block out to each wheel cylinder for a 1971 B-body.

When I went to fit them, well the one for the passenger side was too long, and the one for the drivers side was too short.....
But the good thing was I was able to shorten the passenger side to fit....it just had to be tweaked a bit.

For the drivers side I had to make a new one.
Good thing I have some 3/16 stainless brake line at home along with a good flaring tool.

Also, in the first photo you'll see the braided flex stretched right out to it's max. If the block was a little more towards the drivers side, that line would be a little more relaxed.
Anyway, they are installed....now onto fitting the rear brakes.

You're doing an excellent job dude I wish I could come down there and help you finish the car it would be an honour for me to do that the piece that I showed you with no black treatment on it is a piece attaches to your rack cradle I'll do my best and send you a better picture of it then you understand what I'm trying to say to you

Kevin, you know that you have an open invitation to come down any time you want.
Problem is that I'm going step by step with getting parts ready to go on, so I don't have bits prepared ahead of time.
Half the fun is trying to remember where I put all the stuff I took off the car...
Give us an update on your GTX - what stage are you at now on the car?

I also started bending up the 3/8" stainless fuel line and 3/16" stainless brake line.
The fuel line can be tuff, especially using a small hand held bender.

After all the time and effort I took getting the tail light lenses cleaned up was for nothing.....today I'm in the attic looking for the master cylinder for the car and I find a box that says "1971 Road runner tail light lenses".
I guess I did buy new lenses at some point in time....go figure..
Old versus new....

I finally found a license plate light assembly....it was in a box of spare parts my buddy who owned a 1973 Roadrunner gave me after he sold his Runner.
I don't think my car came with one or I don't remember removing it...
Anyway, cleaned it up in the Evaporust and put a some semi gloss black on it and mounted it.

Now that I have everything to mount the rear bumper, it's time for the bumper brackets..
