My local glass company still had 4 in stock when I got mine 5 years ago - so check around. Scott.

Don't worry Dangina, that steering wheel is history - I have a beautiful tuff wheel going in it's place along with the proper adapter. I think once the new inner fenders go on it will look "minty" at least in the front end :D

So, here I am back at it. Had to take a break to finish off the inside of the garage where my car is kept.

Here's what it looked like with all the stuff in it.

So now I've got all the crap off of it and all the stuff around it cleared away. I decided to remove all of the old seam sealer and clean up the floor area.

In the above picture you can still see the plate on the floor where the roll cage was attached, I will remove that.
Next, I noticed the seam on the passenger side in the front corner going up to the cowl.....looks like I'll have to give that some attention.

Next is the rear passenger side in front of the rear wheel well.

It'll need some clean-up. But it is nice to see some of the original gold paint on parts of the floor.

A little more progress today.
The drivers side (one the right) has all been cleared.

Compare it with the passenger side, that's what I have to clean up next.
At the top of the photo you can see the stubs where a roll cage one lived.

So more scraping done this weekend.
Jan 10 (1).jpg
I have most of the front portion of the passenger side done.
I also removed the plate that was the mount for the roll cage. That little piece that is left I may leave as it's hard to get a grinder in there to cut out that piece.
Here's another picture.

There's gold (paint that is) under them thar undercoating!!!

Finally, the whole floor is now finished.
Jan 17 (13).jpg
Now to move on to the inside of the firewall starting at the drivers side.

Got to get it cleaned up and put on some rust encapsulating paint.

Thanks Scott, I figure just keep workin on it on weekends. This weekend I got to working on my welding skills.
First I had to hook up the CO2/Argon gas to my mig welder.
Jan 24 (1).jpg
I'm no expert but I got some holes welded up on the floor. I welded up the holes that held the homemade drive shaft safety loop.
Jan 24 (2).jpg
Jan 24 (3).jpg
I'd rather have the loop that U.S. tool company sells, the one that bolts to the tranny mount.
Then I welded up some seat mounting holes that were for a pair of aftermarket ricer seats.
Jan 24 (4).jpg
I still have one more to close up (the one on the left).

Guys, I do have a question. Is the interior bracket that holds the brake pedal and steering column the same for automatic cars and manual transmission cars?
Jan 17 (4).jpg
Jan 17 (5).jpg
Since I am converting mine to a 4 speed will I need a different bracket to hold the clutch pedal?

You will also need the longer rod, the firewall side brace too.
These are available at Brewers Performance if you can't find used ones.
