Well boys, the drivers door I`ve been looking for has finally arrived!
Many Thanks go out to Scott (aka sdweatherman) he came thru and had a drivers door for me.
Here`s how it arrived.

Here it is out of the box.

Some more pics.

go figure it`s got some red on it too.

I can`t thank Scott enough - the price was right - there were no shipping issues and no damage done in transit.
It was sure a great idea shipping it in a bicycle box.
So as far as body panels go, I have everything.
Other big items on my list are:
windshield & gas tank

I did install the new drivers floor pan and 4 speed hump (I need to get some pics of that)
Next is replacing the inner fenders.

Real nice project. Looks like you've got a good solid base to start from too...which is always nice. Can't wait to get mine going.

No more progress at the moment. I need to finish the outside of the 24' x 24' garage I started building last year.
Garage Oct 24 (1).JPG
I have the big door on it and still need to finish all of the siding.
It's me, myself and I doing it so it's a little time consuming.
I did put my Runner into it though.

Even though I have no hydro in the new garage I was able to do some more work.
First, lets remove the passenger side inner fender. I bought a great spot weld removal tool.

It worked great!

this is what I was left with

Next I tackled the windshield, it has to come out.
Windsheild removal (3).jpg
A little prying and getting some tools in there.....

And she's out, but with a great big vertical crack - no big deal as a new one is going in.

So now it's time to clean up the channel and finish the cowl area before the new inner fenders go back in.

If you haven't already bought your glass, do some checking around. There was some discussion over on the moparts forum about who makes the best glass, and I was surprised to hear the not many people liked AMD.

I haven't bought any glass just yet.
You're right 71bird - I'm gonna ask around here at a couple of local windshield places if they can get windshields for older cars.
