introduction of yet another newbie
Hi guys, another long time lurker coming out to participate - love the site and the little community of us 'odball' fuselage body lovers. I've been in love with these cars since I was kid, coming from a family of gearheads and hot-rodders, being an auto enthusiast in general I feel was imprinted in my DNA. In the late 70's early 80's there was a highly optioned 71 RR I used to see when I visited my relatives that really cemented my love affair with these cars, originally kindled by their nascar days, and yes even daisy dukes early rides. I'll never forget that car I lusted after near my relatives which was long gone when I went back to find it years later, and started me on my lengthy search which ended when I bought my project.
Its an early production 71 out of the LA assembly plant, 383 4spd bench seat car, B5 with blue interior and white strobe stripe, hood pins and rear bumper black outs, H.D. suspension with 3.91 gears, PS, PB, and an AM radio and thats about it, My car is really nothing special as far as these cars go, but its special to me.
I know how much we all love pictures, I'll try to get some up in the near future, but its really not much to look at right now, just a faded blue ghost at the moment.
There's such a wealth of information & knowledge here, I'd like to thank Dave, Eric, Bruce and everyone else for creating, maintaining and making this site what it is for the 71-4 B body lovers out here.

Sometimes I get to feeling that if Xmas, Fathers Day and my Birthday did not exist, then aftershave too would not exist.

Welcome! Post up pics regardless of condition. We love to see these cars in any shape... and as you can tell, mine wasn't always purty either.

Cool comparison Bruce.
To those of us in the middle... (the long, long, long, middle) of restorations - I think it would be awesome to have a thread where we can see more before / after pics like that one Bruce posted. Helps keep us inspired at the times when the progress is sometimes hard to see in the car, but also a testament to the work some of you guys have done. Some of these beauts weren't always that way.
