Look what we found in a parking garage

Post by moparmike » Wed Oct 27, 2010 7:26 pm

Wow we found this car just sitting around in an underground parking garage apparently it has been there for the last 5 years the landlord says that I could probably buy it for cheap...whatever cheap is. I will let you know cause I have to have it. What would be a fair price it is a 71 no drivetrain

Sometimes I get to feeling that if Xmas, Fathers Day and my Birthday did not exist, then aftershave too would not exist.

I'd give $5k for that car.

Is that a DANA in front of the X?

Do I see TWO fender tags on that car? Coooooooool! 8)

Careful with the purchase. Does the landlord actually have the title and is it his to actually sell? Had a friend buy a car off of a farm from a kid with no title. Come to find out the kid didnt have his dads permission to sell the car, and dad had the title. Long story short, it took A LOT of effort and time, but my friend did end up with the car and title eventually. Make sure you have all your ducks in a row before you hand over the cash!

I assume you checked to see if it was a V or R code?

If it is a V or an R code. It would have to be a really rare car. Because if you look at the firewall. You can see that it's an A/C car.

Yeah, that'll be a winner when it's put back together. Looks like it had two fender tags on it. So it must have quite a few options on it.

Holy Hell!

Well, I would imagine that the landlord could easily put a lien on the car if it has been considered abandoned. How the hell does someone let a sub-30,000 mile GTX sit in a PARKING GARAGE for that long? How has no one 'walked off' with it???

I'd bet it's 128,000 miles... and if I'm not mistaken Dave used to park his Road Runner in a similar garage under his apartment complex. :D

Especially the what looks to be a fresh rear just sitting in front.

But I suppose there are some sort of camera systems In that place the made the guy feel comfortable leaving it there.
