Well, I have given Quapman's '72 Satellite a new home. :D

Thanks to the little rain system  that made it's way up the east coast on Thursday, a normal round trip from MD to NC that would be 13 hrs....turned into 20hrs.

At least she's home. 8)

I'll have to take some of my own pictures of it soon and as I start to work along on it...no doubt getting as much information from the rest of you as I can. :P

I still have what's left of my '71....not sure if I'm going to use it for parts or unload it...we'll see.

Thanks quapman, it was great meeting you! Good luck with the Challengers.

-Brian

Thanks, Brian! I couldn't have asked for a smoother deal and I met another couple true-blue car guys. Too bad the timing couldn't have been a little better with the rain.

Here's what she looked like last month....

Sorry about the chopped-off pics. Too big for the page or something.

Got it fired up on Sunday so I could back it the rest of the way into the driveway...cranking a 440 will suck the life from a battery toot-sweet. Looking underneath as to how best to quickly make the 'exhaust' a little less conspicuous, I noticed the 'hand formed' cherrybombs and the square flange that was bolted to the triangular header flange and made me chuckle. Looks like a couple of header flanges, a couple lengths of pipe and cheap mufflers should do the trick. At least this way I can run it for extended periods of time without causing the neighbors to reach for the pitchforks. :)

After that....probably a good idea to find a clamp for the coil so it doesn't fly off the intake. Then, I'll have to either toss a new fuel tank in or slap my '71 tank into it so I can lose the gas can in the grill. :D

Make sure you get a picture of the redneck gas tank before you remedy it! (I forgot to get one myself)

I was going to ask....was the top of it sealed with something? When I re-filled it, there was some white-ish goo inside that looked like either partialy disolved caulk or old terpintine varnish...it came out in one, albeit sticky, piece. :D

Oh boy, let's see if I can remember.....

It was either a folded-over piece of masking tape or maybe a piece of vinyl decal backing, or.....

Sorry, I recently went from having CRS to CRAFT.

Bruce....
I'm shopping for another Challenger. This time something a little closer to finished or something rare & wacky. Maybe someone's "almost done" project. Prefer a 70. I actually enjoy uncobbing those zip-tied, duct-taped relics. LOL. Found a B3 blue JS23U0B in Burlington, but the owner thinks it's made of unobtanium. Oh yeah, and a couple of Carl's cars will get a new home here in the Sewer.

Dang, you sure manage to find some cars! How's that happen? So which cars of Carl's are you getting?

The pair of 73's...Charger and Satty. No titles, of course, but hope to remedy that without too many issues.

Damm, have we totally hijacked Brian's thread yet?

Guilty as charged! :D Find a Challenger that needs enough that I can trade the Runner for it with no boot... you know, not like your purple one that I can't afford. Oops, did I just say that on a Road Runner site?

Heh, no worries guys. Since it's been either raining or overcast here for the last 2 weeks, not much work has been going on.

Steve, it's all good, just curious what it could have been (I had a fleeting moment where I asked mysef aloud if it was an old condom) LOL!
