The font on the door of the hemi Gtx looks typical of other import cars I have seen over the years for 1971 cars, usually e-body cars and some California built cars. I have a 71 Superbee parts car in the shed with the same type font. But with Chrysler how knows anything is possible.

The car is featured in Mopar Collectors Guide I just got yesterday.
Most expensive Mopar Muscle care ever built.
Viet Nam vet got it and traded in his 70 RR.
He hit a tree and damage the passenger door, felt so bad he parked it in 1981.

Estate sale brought the car to the Light of day again.

Some time and miles are unaccounted for.

The car was bought with 3000 miles in Feb 1972.

Not intended for California sale but sold there in Sacramento.

14 mos and 3000 miles unaccounted for. Original factory shipping invoice dated Dec 29, 1970.

Door damage on passenger side never fixed.

Interesting....I was the one the point out the suspect VIN font at the show. Of all the export 71 Bs I've looked at over the years (including the one I owned) this is the first I've seen with that type of font. Looked like it was done on a standard typewriter...and the tag looked awfully new. I'm still skeptical until I see more information about the car. Unfortunately I didn't have much time to look it over or talk to the owner.

I've seen several B-bodies with the "typewriter" font, including a 73 Charger built the first week of 73 production. (SPD of 7/31/72)

Yea, for the 73/74s I've seen that kind of font. I've just never seen it on a 71. There are some other things about the car that seem a bit... ummm.. suspect as well.
