I have only noticed one movie, Jack the Bear. The police car appeared to be a satellite.

If you happen to catch Smokey in the Bandit, there is a scene were a bunch of cars leave a cemetery and one of those cars is a 1973 or 1974 Satellite. In the first Gone in 60 Seconds, from 1973, there is a slew of 1971 Satellites. That's all I know of. As far as Road Runners, I haven't seen any.

Duke of Hazard had a Road Runner. It was daisy's yellow car from what I recall.

Yeah, I recall that now. The 1973. That's a first I've seen any Road Runner in any game.

Actually, Daisy had a 71 for a little while (yellow with a black 73/74 style stripe) and then later had the 73/74.

The original gone in 60 seconds does have a few too. Including a B5/B5 Sebring Plus that gets crunched.

Oh, and can't forget the good old Adam-12 TV show. They had some 4dr cop cars:

In the remake of Vanishing Point, he drives a GY3 440+6 Road Runner to pick up the Challenger. Somewhere I might have a video capture of that car, but I'll have to dig for it.

How about the movie "Love and a .45" They drive around in a 1972 Road Runner. Even mention it a few times were the police are looking for a blue 1972 Plymouth Road Runner! Horibble movie though.
Last American Hero: a movie about a guy who wants to drive stock cars. It has actual race footage from the 1972 Nascar race at Hickory or North Wilkesboro with Petty's 1972 Plymouth!
There a 1971 Road Runner in the remake of Vanishing Point.
My friend Merrill says he remembers the being a 1972 Satellite with V21/V25 stripe in a 70's Charles Bornson movie ...anyone ever heard of this one?

hi the movie The friends of Eddie Cole with Robert Mitchum, the gun runner is driving a 71 roadrunner, 383 4-speed car. In The Gauntlet with Clint Eastwood he's driving a 72 or 73 4 door satelite cop car. The game Grand Terismo also has a 71 roadrunner.

I have another one...."Bachelor Party" with Tom Hanks. When he gathers all his friends to tell them he is getting married, he stops by the garage where his friend is a mechanic. His friend is working on a red 1971 Satellite Sebring with a ½ black vinyl top. It looks exactly like MY CAR! He has the car in the air, and as he walks to talk to Tom, the entire frame falls to the ground, wheels/tires included. Just the body is left up. But it was a RUST FREE body! I know I have it on video, I'll see if I can scan a photo off it.

Great thread!

I remember in the movie Payback with Mel Gibson he's driving around in some cool mopars. I remeber a 73-74 Charger SE that is seen in the end and he was originally cruising around in a 68-70 roadrunner at first. There also was a scene where at an auction they were trying to move an orange 70 Superbird.

I think the movie The Punisher featured a 70's B Body. I forget though.

Good catch on the Dukes Road runner. The 71 is what I remember.

I also remember some twilight zone type movie where this bus driver was being chased by some bad guy in a 73-74 charger. Terrible movie, but cool car.

I just watched my Dukes of Hazard (first season) DVD this weekend and Daisy is driving the 73/74 RR in the very first episode called "one armed bandits". The photo were she's diving into the drivers window is taken from that episode. I don't know when she drives the 71' Satellite? Season two? Doesn't Cooter wreck it (71' Satellite) and gives he the Jeep?
Also funny thing about the first episode ...Cooter drives a 75' Torino (red with white stripe like Starsky /Hutch car).

Daisy's road runner was a 74 I believe, there was some interior shots, and it showed the combonation shoulder and seat belt together where the front seats are.

Daisy had a 74 for a good while, but there were a few episodes that had a 71 RR in it. Same color scheme.

Didn't it get pushed off a cliff or something?

I don't remember...

It was her 74 that went over the cliff, that's when she washed it , then Bo and Luke took her car ,because the General was not running right. They were being chased and I believe the brakes were not working, or they ran out of road, that's when Bo and Luke jumped out and went over the cliff. Then she used the 71 for for further episodes. Now I may be wrong, but I have to take out the DVD, just to check it out. I had it for Christmas, and have not opened it yet.
