Maxton, NC with Pam and Gary Beineke and a 1,000 hp wing car

Saturday (April 10) was a GREAT day to be in North Carolina.
Ever get to park your butt in a 1,000 hp hemi-powered wing car? It's unbelievably COOL! Won't tell how FAST Gary went, cuz I got to save some of the story for Geoff Stunkard to tell in Mopar Enthusiast, but let's just say Gary got his "license" to go faster than most of us will EVER go!

Working on getting some others downloaded from a second card--especially the ones of the 588 ci aluminum Indy hemi. But here's the best one I shot Saturday.

They really are... we actually scraped them once just PUSHING the car down the service road on the way to make a pass. But the concrete on the service road is pretty bad, bumpy and breaking up... what can you expect from an abandoned WWII airfield?

True that on the airfield, and I thought I had clearance problems with my oil pan.
Sharp machine though.
