I thought read a post over on moparts that you picked up your Air Grabber parts from B/E&A, here are some
diagrams they have posted there. I would have thought these instructions would come with the parts.
Repo decals are offered on e-bay all the time. Not sure of the quality however.

I got the decals for mine from Year One. They look great, but I'm sure they'd be available from other vendors as well.

yes I got the scoop from B/E &A
I have the diagram too
I used a 1/8 drill bit to thread the studs in and chipped the fiberglass off a little bit
then went two sizes more and had a hard time threading the stud in
so I stopped there and asked for help here
dont want to over size the hole and cant thread the studs in
I will look for the decals
thanks guys

Ah! You’re talking about threading the studs into the bubble or door. Haven’t seen the B/E&A piece but I did install studs into a Stinger Fiberglass repo and it can be tricky. Hole needs to be big enough to prevent splitting of the fiberglass and small enough for the self tapping threads to bite. I recall having to use some resin/epoxy to reinforce some of the stud/thread installs. I also needed to repair some studs the same way on the original piece I ended up using on my car as well.
I still have one more OEM set of decals left from back in the seventies that I plan to use if I need to but should I need more now, Edited 1/21/10, after Eric's reminder below, I would buy from
Performance Car Graphics. After speaking with David on the phone, very knowledgeable, I have placed an order with him for serveral items including a 72' version V8X reporduction stripe.

I got mine from Phoenix Graphics as well but if you search Ebay, you will see all these decals, including the reflective shark

IMHO, Performace Car Graphics is the best for stripes and decals (except the little stuff you can get from ECS). David's colors are more accurate and he uses better materials.

I got decals from Dante.
I have also one question about grabber bubble. Can someone share pics how the bubble is attached to the hood, especially rear edge. Who repop attachment kit?
Thanks.

I’ve been on the fence about re-installing the 72’ version of the V8X stripe on my car since the very beginning of its restoration. After reading the posts on this thread in regards to graphics venders and speaking with Dave at Performance Car Graphics I ordered one of his reproductions. Finished the install last evening and have yet to get the car out of the garage for some wide angle shots, weather forecast indicate it may be some time. I have never installed such a large decal before, feared screwing it up big time, his instructions for the process are dead on and the outcome is one very very small dust particle away from flawless.
